Went to Hawaii, Now back to the snow and cold

No pictures, but we had a great time.  First visited with my sister Angie, then stayed in Laie for two nights, with Jace and Taran's ohana.  Flew to Kaua'i for a week with Jay and dear friends Neil and Beth Miller.  We had a great time there.  We especially liked the day spent on a boat, whale watching, and seeing the Napali Coast(I had never seen that before, only pictures).  That was the highlight of our Kaua'i visit.  Back to O'ahu for Kamaile's baptism(which was the whole reason for the trip). I was asked to give the talk on Baptism at the Stake Baptism for the 4 children being baptized that day.   Visited sister Bobbie, and went to the newly renovated La'ie temple with her.  That was a treat.  The garden of Eden is Hawaii, and stepping into the "lone and dreary world" is Utah.
After spending three weeks in Hawaii, coming back to this white stuff was definitely not inviting, except that it's home.  And we have assignments with our temple here to fill each Friday morning at 5:00AM, for six hours.  It's a great experience that I'm fast becoming attached to, because of my love for my Savior.
It's General Conference this weekend, and I can't think of a better way to spend this precious time, except perhaps with my ohana.

more fixes

Today the broken front panel window was replaced.  Broken by the stucco workers.  The raingutter man was here today.  It looks great.  Just in time, but not, for the rains.  It rained last night and we ran around the house to check on leaks.

New info....house exterior

....our tent was removed, and we can see the sky and the valley, and all the snow and gunk in the valley.  So much for being cooped up for three weeks then unfolded enough to see the gunk.  Oh well, we have liftoff, and it feels good to enjoy freedom again, and start to finish up on the little things to make our house more of a lovely home.  The shower in the master Bath is installed, we need a mirror and some things to hang towels on, and something on the blank wall to finish off the bathroom.  We got two 97" tall bookcases for our bedroom to display some treasures and some choice books.  We gave away the rest, "sob, sob", I loved my books.  We have high ceilings, so we could do tall bookcases.
The outside is trimmed in stucco, we still need the raingutters put on, hopefully before the rains come.

Mt. Timp Temple

I love serving at the temple.  I am learning so much about myself, and about people who also love to serve there.  So kind, so caring about everyone and everything around.  If only we lived our lives like this everyday  We would have a Zion Society.
We came home to our house and couldn't get inside, because the stucco workers had our driveway filled with their cars, and they also had the house taped shut, so we couldn't get in.
We had to go to the neighbors to call mom to open the one door that did not have scaffolding or plastic wrap around it.  It is at the North part, and there is one door to the Sunroom, which was locked.  Even when she tried to open it, it wouldn't budge, it was frozen.  We needed Jay's strong shove to unlock the ice freeze.

Welcome 2011

We are healthy and happy.  We love each other, and our house is shaping up.  Jay's mom is wonderful, we are so glad to have her here with us instead of 2 miles away in her own condo.  When the family visits, they visit with her, and we get to see all those who come to visit her.
